Nominations of veterans in Punjab today: Badal Lambi, Sukhbir Jalalabad, Captain Patiala and CM Channi will be filled with nominations, tomorrow is the last day

Today will be the day of nomination in Punjab in the name of veterans. Parkash Singh Badal, who had been CM for 5 times from the long assembly, will file his nomination. Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal will file nomination from Jalalabad seat. Former CM Captain Amarinder Singh will file nomination from Patiala Urban and current CM Charanjit Channi from Bhadaur seat. In Punjab, nominations are to be held by February 1 i.e. tomorrow. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on February 2. Nominations can be withdrawn till February 4. Voting will be held on February 20 from 8 am to 6 pm. Counting of votes will take place on March 10.

619 nominations so far including Sidhu-Majithia, Mann

Elections are being held for 117 assembly seats in Punjab. For which 619 candidates have filed their nominations so far. In Punjab, Navjot Sidhu from Amritsar East, Bikram Majithia from Amritsar East and Majitha have filed nominations for heavyweight seats. Apart from this, Aam Aadmi Party’s CM face MP Bhagwant Mann has also filed nomination from Dhuri seat.

Prohibition on display of power at the time of nomination

At the time of nomination, there will be a ban on the performance of the candidates due to Corona. The candidate and his 2 companions can come within a radius of 100 meters of the Returning Officer’s office. They will be allowed to bring only 2 vehicles. In order not to break the Corona rules, CCTV cameras have been installed in the Returning Officer (RO) office from a radius of 100 meters. Whose full report will be sent to the Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab. Apart from this, only one candidate will be allowed to come within 100 meters of the Returning Officer’s office at a time.
