The Nokia XR20 smartphone is getting the Android 12 update this week. Several users from different countries have shared screenshots of the update rolling out on their devices. HMD Global’s Nokia XR20 is a strong smartphone and was promised by the company to get Android 12 when it launches in 2021.
In India, the device was introduced for a whopping price tag of Rs 46,999, which made it less attractive to buyers in the country.

Nokia XR20 Android 12 Update
HMD Global hasn’t released official details about the Nokia XR20 Android 12 update yet, but a wider rollout suggests that the phone will be getting the new version in India very soon. Users who have received the Android 12 update have talked about getting the February 2022 security firmware with new features of the version.
Considering that we are approaching the end of March 2022, the update rollout seems a bit outdated. Nokia said to provide three years of OS updates and four years of software support to the Nokia XR20. We hope that the company can fulfill its promise.
HMD Global was all about faster updates a few years back with Android phones. But the pandemic has certainly slowed down the system at the firm, resulting in a lack of updates for a lot of its devices. The company recently talked about focusing on budget products and has no plans to enter the flagship market for a while. But we are expecting other Nokia phones to get the Android 12 update as soon as possible.

The Nokia XR20 has a modest set of features, but its main focus was durability thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, polymer composite body, military standard rating, and IP68 rating. It is powered by the Snapdragon 480 5G chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM. It offers 128GB storage which can be expanded up to 512GB.
