Noida: Private companies have shown interest in setting up charging stations for the first time electric vehicles in city. Two private companies step and Park+ – will jointly set up 40 charging stations over the next two months, officials said. the first one will come up Sector 51 Metro Station.
While EVRE will provide infrastructure, equipment, resources and concepts, Park+ will identify locations where stations can be developed. Not just government offices, both the companies are also looking at making space in malls and housing societies.
Three Development Authority – Noida, Greater Noida And Yamuna Expressway All have announced plans to encourage electric vehicles in their areas. While Noida has already set up 20 charging stations across the city, the Greater Noida Authority has also built a few.
The 40 charging points that will come will remain open even at night. “We would encourage people to charge their vehicles during the night as well. Battery-powered commercial vehicles are on the rise NCR. It takes several hours to charge such vehicles. They can use our stations,” said Chandresh Sethia, co-founder of EVRE.
The potential traffic for the services is estimated at Rs 13 per kWh. Slots will be available on one app. Apart from Noida, both the companies will also set up stations in Delhi and Gurgaon. They are planning to take up space on rent in Parking Lot Malls, hotels and business parks provide a portion of their earnings to the owner of the premises.

For example, the Sector 51 metro station, which will be the first such charging point, serves as a junction between the Blue and Aqua Line corridors. A charging station is also being planned in Sector 63, where commercial and commercial activity is high.
