The private contractors of Noida, assigned with a task of towing vehicles parked illegally on the roadside went a little too far by dragging a car with two senior citizens still inside. The video of the disturbing incident was recorded by a scooter driver. As per the information, the incident is from Noida Sector 50.

The video sparked outrage over the micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter) as the people demanded the authority to ban these contractors for a lifetime.

A user named Puneet Sharma BJP expressed anger over the incident and called the private contractors ‘arrogant’. He also demanded the blacklisting of these contractors for a lifetime.

Another user, Rahul Sharma (Modi Ka Parivar) termed the act as a clear harassment in the name of ensuring law and order in the city.

The video depicted elderly citizens can be seen sitting inside their cars as it is being dragged on the roads of Noida by a towing crane. As per the regulations, if a person parks his/her car in no parking zone and he/she is present inside it, then the car cannot be towed.
As soon as the video of the insensitive act went viral on social media, Noida Traffic Police issued a clarification stating that the authority of parking enforcement activities lies with the Noida Development Authority (NDA).

Moreover, the Noida Police also tracked down the private contractor’s vehicle and seized it. A case has also been registered against those operating it.
