Noida plans drone survey of twin towers. Noida News – Times of India

Noida: A drone survey will be used to measure and collect data about Twin Towers In Supertech Emerald Court whose destruction has been ordered Supreme court.
a private agency hired by Noida Authority Will survey the entire project, but will focus on the Apex and Sien towers, which are to be brought down in three months.

Officials said the findings of the aerial survey would be matched with the records and building maps available with the authority. The digital data will also be shared with the Central Building Research Institute in Roorkee, with the help of which the Supreme Court had asked Noida to bring down the towers.
“Authority officials contacted us about a week ago and told us about the need to conduct the survey. Rajesh Rana, president of Emerald Court’s Residents Welfare Association, said, “We are coordinating with them to ensure that the exercise goes smoothly.
A team of experts has already visited the project twice this week.
According to officials, the drones will not only capture the layout of the entire project aerially, but will also record the twin towers from all sides from the ground up to the top floor. After collecting the data of all the important parameters, 3D modeling of the project will be done.
“It would be extremely difficult to get the exact height and measurements of the building manually. A total of 32 floors have been constructed apart from the basement. We have to check the condition of each floor. A structural audit would be required before the demolition can take place. Apart from this, the number of scaffolds used, wooden planks and other materials need to be reached. It is more convenient to use drones to do all this,” said an official of the authority.
The findings of the survey will also be shared with the Special Investigation Team which is probing – as observed by the top court – the complicity of the officials of the authority and the developers.
Following the August 31 order of the apex court, a four-member SIT was constituted to probe the complicity in fixing the responsibility and granting permission for the construction of the twin towers. The legal battle against the Twin Towers was fought by the Emerald Court RWA.
The area between the two towers, the setback of the building and the space for car parking will also be analyzed and matched with the approved building maps. Sources said the survey team wants to find out how much area has been used for the construction of the twin towers.
Emerald Court RWA has decided to appoint a civil engineer to advise on the way forward.
The engineer will be tasked to coordinate with the authority and the agency appointed to bring down the twin towers. The RWA seeks an understanding of the protocols that have to be followed to ensure the safety of residents before the demolition takes place.
