Noida: Nodal officer conducts surprise inspection of schools to check compliance with COVID norms

Noida: The Uttar Pradesh government had allowed schools to conduct physical classes for classes 9 to 12 from today. However, to ascertain how effectively schools are adhering to the COVID-19 guidelines, the Chief Minister has deployed nodal officers in the districts where the second wave of COVID-19 was most severe.

The state government issued orders to open schools following the COVID-19 guidelines, but to find out whether school administrations were following the state orders, the chief minister sent nodal officers to all the districts where COVID- 19 had wreaked the most havoc.

Atul Kumar Mishra, deputy secretary of the secondary education department in Gautam Budh Nagar, has been made the nodal officer. He also conducted surprise inspections of private and government schools in Noida and took stock of how effectively the schools were adhering to the COVID-19 guidelines.

As of now, no non-compliance has been reported in these checks. All the schools were seen to be following these COVID-19 rules, but the authorities clearly instructed the principals and officials of these schools and colleges that in case of non-compliance corrective action would be taken against them.

Review of schools taken:
The team of ABP Ganga along with these officers also conducted surprise inspections, took stock of the schools and saw how effectively these rules were being followed by the schools. Students attending these physical classes were also asked their opinion on the current situation and the decision of the government. The team also interviewed the principal and tried to know how effectively these rules are being followed by these schools.

Offline study is better
Principal and students welcomed the government’s decision to reopen schools and said that offline learning is better than online. Students may miss online lectures due to lack of a stable internet connection, which affects further studies. Now that the schools have reopened, studies are expected to run smoothly without any interruption.

Social distribution being taken care of:
The principal told that thermal scanning of all the children is being done. Masks are being provided to children who do not have masks. All classes are being conducted in compliance with the COVID-19 rules. Special care has been taken to follow social distancing.

Nodal Officer Appointed:
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is monitoring whether the colleges are following the COVID-19 protocol or not, he has appointed the nodal officer to conduct surprise inspections and take stock of the situation and report to the CM office on the institutions violating the protocol. have been appointed. So that corrective action can be taken against them.
