Noida: The blueprint of all development activities and expansion, even the master plan of Noida is incomplete, CAG has indicated. The Noida Authority had in September 2005 presented its vision plan for the next 15 years, called Master Plan 2021. It was reviewed by the state government the following August. The government asked the authority to implement the scheme only after getting approval from NCRPB. But the discussion continued till January 2008.
The Noida Authority incorporated the changes in April 2010 and wrote back to the NCRPB that it would instead implement the changes suggested in its 2031 master plan. In the interim, the authorities changed the use of 573 hectares of land.
The concept of sports city and mixed use development was introduced. The NCRPB objected but the plans were implemented regardless.
The CAG has asked the state government to take corrective steps. news network
