Noida/Ghaziabad: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 20 new cases of Covid on Sunday, while Ghaziabad had seven new Covid patients. The active cases in both the districts currently stand at 140 and 56, respectively.
Health officials in Ghaziabad said that 49 patients have recovered from Covid in the last 24 hours.
Other than Ghaziabad and GB Nagar, Lucknow received the maximum Covid cases at 40 .The state reported 250 new cases on Sunday with 2,000 total active cases in 75 districts.
Both Ghaziabad and GB Nagar saw a rise in Covid cases in the first week of August when the numbers touched 120 in Ghaziabad and 230 in GB Nagar and hospitalizations went up to 30.
On Friday, Ghaziabad tested 2,000 samples. The positivity rate was recorded at 0.21%, while GB Nagar is testing 2,500 samples daily. Its positivity rate was recordedat 0.8% ,which was 8.4% in August first week.
On the vaccination front, GB Nagar and Ghaziabad administered 7,622 and 25,319 doses of Covid vaccines, respectively, in the last 24 hours.
