‘No Time to Die’ UK release: Can Daniel Craig’s film hit the box office?

MumbaiThe Daniel Craig starrer ‘No Time to Die’ has been making a splash ever since the film was announced. After waiting for over a year and a half, film lovers in the UK will finally be able to experience the spy thriller at cinema halls from 30 September. All eyes are on the world premiere of ‘No Time to Die’. Which will take place on Tuesday (28 September) at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Trade pundits are expecting the film to hit the box office upon release. Considering the ongoing buzz about ‘No Time to Die’, fans are also hoping that the film will rattle the cash registers and revive theatrical business in many regions.

At a time when streaming platforms have gathered momentum due to the pandemic, ‘No Time to Die’ is expected to bring some relief to the film industry.

According to a report by Reuters, advance ticket sales for the film at two of the UK’s leading multiplex chains, Cineworld and Odeon, have been reported to be near 2019 levels.

Odeon executives told Reuters they have sold more than 1.75 million tickets for “No Time to Die”, which will be Daniel Craig’s last journey as Bond.

“The latest Bond film, ‘No Time to Die’, is set to become Odeon’s biggest opening in theaters since the summer of 2019,” Odeon told Reuters. guess what? The film has managed to attract both youth and middle-aged people. Interestingly, more than a third of the tickets booked by cinema lovers are those above the age of 46.

Cineworld also told the news agency that the spy film has become its best-selling film since the release of “Avengers: Endgame” in 2019.

“No Time To Die” was originally slated to hit the silver screen in April 2020; However, it got delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis. The much-awaited flick will have its theatrical release in the United States on October 8, 2021.
