No relief to former Congress minister: No hearing on quashing of FIR of corruption in HC; Underground Giljian to avoid arrest

Former Forest Minister Sangat Singh Giljian.

Former Congress minister Sangat Singh Giljian has suffered a setback. Gilzian had filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. In which there was a demand to quash the case registered against him. The High Court said in this case that this is not an urgent petition. It can be heard regularly. Holidays are going on in the High Court right now. On the other hand, if Giljian wants anticipatory bail, then he should go to the lower court.

Giljian goes underground to evade arrest. He was trying for relief before his arrest. The HC said that if Gilzian finds the matter urgent, he can file a petition for anticipatory bail.

Former Forest Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot has already been arrested in connection with this scam.  He is currently in jail.

Vigilance is looking for Giljian
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau had registered a case in the Jungle scam. In which along with former Congress minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Sangat Singh Giljian was also nominated. Dharamsot was arrested by the Vigilance from his house in Amloh at 3 am. After this, when the name came to know about it, Giljian went underground. Vigilance is looking for him for questioning.

Gilzian accused of fraud in the purchase of tree guards
In the case registered by the Vigilance Bureau, it has been said that the tree-guards were bought while the Forest Minister of Giljian. In which more than 6 crores have been wronged. Giljian was named in the case after the revelations made in the interrogation of the forest officers.
