Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren He has requested the people of the state to worship Lord Jagannath in their homes. Rath Yatra Will not be taken out this year due to the current COVID-19 situation. Soren said that the Rath Yatra cannot be allowed for the second year in a row as the state is still under the threat of coronavirus.
“Not allowing Rath Yatra pains me but there are many tough steps to be taken to secure our tomorrow. Many festivals have to be celebrated due to COVID-19. Seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath for the safety of your homes. ” The Chief Minister said this in a statement issued late on Sunday night.

Jharkhand’s coronavirus tally stands at 3,46,279, of which 423 are active cases, while 3,40,737 people have recovered from the disease and 5,119 patients have succumbed to the infection so far.
