The Home Department has imposed this ban on kite flying citing the order of the High Court. Kite flying will be banned from 6 to 8 in the morning and from 5 to 7 in the evening.
Along with this, orders have also been given to ban the sale and use of plastic and Chinese manjha. There will be a complete ban on the manufacture, marketing and use of synthetic manja and Chinese manja.
According to the information, if found flying kites during the restricted time, there can be arrest. Collector and DM have been asked to take action under section 144 for breach of peace.
Relevant sections may also be invoked if an accident occurs or a person is hurt during such kite flying.
