No Extension For 2 Hry Ias Officers | Chandigarh News – Times of India

CHANDIGARH: With the Haryana government issuing the retirement orders of additional chief secretary (health and Home ) Rajiv Arora and additional chief secretary ( TCP) Devender Singh, the speculation about the extension of services is finally over on Sunday.
The government issued the retirement orders after it waited for the formal communication from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, till Sunday evening. Notably, Sunday was the last working day of the two officers.
The Haryana government had sent the communication to DoPT for the extension of three officers for two years. ACS (Revenue and Disaster management) P K Das was the third officer for whom the government had sought the extension. Das is due to retire in August.
Notably, Arora and Devender Singh had been the blue eyed boys of the Haryana government. Besides efficiently handling the Covid situation, especially meeting the requirements related to vaccines and other issues, Arora had been single handedly handling the same.
Devender Singh has to his credit the campaigns like Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon campaign and he had started this since 2012, when he had been heading the electricity distribution companies. While another credit to him was of effective campaigning and management of Jal Jiwan mission in the state.
It may be recalled that for the past two months, the speculations were on the rise about the extension to three officers on the insistence of the government.
Officially Friday was the last working day of Arora and Singh but the state government chose to wait till Sunday evening. Now, the eyes are on the extension to P K Das, who is due to retire on August 30.
