Following Nitish Kumar’s resignation, the BJP promptly held discussions with its MLAs and MLCs and subsequently extended a letter of support to Nitish Kumar.
After submitting his resignation, Nitish Kumar informed reporters that he had requested the Governor to dissolve the Mahagathbandhan alliance in Bihar. He expressed dissatisfaction with the state of affairs within the Mahagathbandhan, which includes Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, and three Left parties, stating that the situation had compelled him to step down.
