Last year, Nikki’s name cropped up during the investigation of a Rs 200 crore extortion case involving thug Sukesh Chandrasekhar. She was taken to Delhi’s Tihar Jail along with another actress to recreate her alleged meeting with thug Sukesh as part of the investigation into the extortion case.
As per IANS sources, “‘Bigg Boss’ fame Nikki Tamboli, ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ fame Chahatt Khanna, Sophia Singh and Arusha Patil met Chandrashekhar in the jail premises and he introduced himself as a producer of the southern film industry. Pinky Irani, a close aide of Chandrashekhar, who was arrested by the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police in November last year, had facilitated her meetings with the thugs. All the four actresses received expensive gifts from renowned brands like Gucci Versace, and Louis Vuitton,” the website reported.
