NIA Conducts Raids At 12 Locations In 4 Districts Of J&K In Terrorist Conspiracy Case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday conducted multiple raids in four districts of Kashmir as part of its ongoing probe into the conspiracy of new branches of banned Pakistan-backed terrorist organizations to destabilize Jammu and Kashmir.


As part of today’s operation, raids were conducted at twelve places in four districts of Kulgam, Bandipora, Shopian and Pulwama. These locations were residential complexes of hybrid terrorists and overground workers belonging to newly formed branches and affiliates of banned terrorist organisations. The raids also included massive searches of the premises of sympathizers and cadres of these organizations.

NIA has recovered several digital devices containing huge amount of incriminating data in these searches. These will be thoroughly probed by the agency to unravel the details of the terror conspiracy, which was initiated by the NIA a year ago after registering a suo motu case on June 21, 2022.

The new terrorist organizations being probed by the NIA are The Resistance Front (TRF), United Liberation Front Jammu and Kashmir (ULFJ&K), Mujahideen Ghazwat-ul-Hind (MGH), Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters (JKFF), Kashmir Tigers, PAAF Are included. and others. These organizations are affiliated with Pak supported organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al-Badr, Al-Qaeda etc., which have banned by the Government of India. Has been done.

The cadres and activists whose premises were raided are under NIA probe for their involvement in the collection and distribution of sticky bombs/magnetic bombs, IEDs, funds, narcotics and arms/ammunition. As per NIA investigation, they are engaged in spreading activities related to terror, violence and subversion in J&K.

Investigation revealed that Pak-based terrorists were using social media platforms to promote terror. Drones were being used by them to deliver arms/ammunition, explosives, narcotics etc. to their operatives and cadres in the Kashmir Valley.

The terror conspiracy under investigation pertains to hatching of conspiracies by banned organizations both in physical and cyberspace to carry out violent terrorist attacks with sticky bombs, IEDs and small arms etc. in Jammu and Kashmir. Organizations in Pakistan, supported by their masters, are conspiring to carry out the acts. Terror and violence by radicalizing local youth and organizing underground activists, to disturb peace and communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir.
