It was the year of the actresses! With each passing month, Bollywood sees stellar performances on the big screen and OTT, making it a task to pick six nominations for ‘Best Actress’ in the Popular Choice category of News18 Shosha Reel Awards.

Critic I say: Taking over the OTT space with and as Mimi, Kriti Sanon proved that she is a complete package. While she showed that she can be the best leading lady in commercial projects, she also underlined that she can shoulder a film on her shoulders and win the hearts of the audience.
Alia Bhatt: With Gangubai Kathiawadi and Darlings giving two different performances in 2022, 2022 was the best year ever Alia Bhatt professional. While Sanjay Leela Bhansali brought forth a never-seen-before avatar with Gangubai, Alia pushed the envelope with Darlings.
Tabu: Will it be safe to say that Tabu rules 2022? The veteran actress delivered stellar performances with two big releases of the year – Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Drishyam 2.
