Tata Motors has updated the Tigor EV for the Indian market, and the update brings along some additional features, a higher range, two new variants as well as a new paint scheme. The new Tata Tigor EV has a length of 3993 mm, a width of 1677 mm, stands 1532 mm tall, gets a wheelbase that measures 2450 mm in length, and has a 316-litre boot space.

The Tata Nexon EV has the same length as the Tigor EV, but is wider, taller, has a slightly longer wheelbase and also gets 34 litres of additional boot space.

Battery pack, charging time and range
The updated Tigor EV is equipped with a 26 kWh battery pack that returns a claimed range of 315 km on a single full charge. This battery pack can be charged from 10% to 80% in 59 minutes through a DC fast charger, whereas a 15A charger will take over 9 hours to juice it up from 10% to 100%. The 3.3 kW Wall Box charger will do the same task in 7 and a half hours.
The Tata Nexon EV Prime is equipped with a 30.2 kWh battery pack that provides the electric SUV an ARAI-certified range of 312 km. On the other hand, the Nexon EV Max gets a larger 40.5 kWh unit, which has a claimed range of 437 km on a full charge. With a 50 kW DC fast charger, the Nexon EV Max can be charged from 0% – 80% in 56 minutes, while the Nexon EV Prime will juice up from 10% to 80% in 60 minutes with a fast charger.

The 2022 Tigor EV makes use of a permanent magnet synchronous motor that belts out 75 PS of power and 170 Nm of peak torque. This powertrain will help the electric sedan sprint from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds.
