What is ABS and what are its benefits

ABS technology reduces the risk of accidents. This system runs from the wheel sensor. Those who sense bad road conditions activate the ABS. In this, sudden braking during an accident gives the driver more time to control the vehicle than with a normal braking system.

The sensor automatically engages the anti-lock brakes. When the wheels of a vehicle lock up when the brakes are applied, there is a potential for the vehicle to skid dangerously on the road surface (especially on wet surfaces).

Prevents lock-up and skidding

The ABS gets activated when the tire slips. This prevents lock-up and skidding in slippery conditions. Using ABS is very different from using regular brakes.

If you are braking normally at a stop sign, red light or slow moving vehicles ahead of you, the ABS system will not activate. ABS will automatically activate when there is sudden braking at high speed.
