New India proudly living its ancient identity with modern aspirations: PM Modi

Panchmahal: Highlighting the country’s spiritual and cultural heritage, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that New India is living up to its ancient identity as well as its modern aspirations and is proud of its heritage. Addressing the inauguration of the redeveloped temple of Shri Kalika Mata on Pavagadh hill, PM Modi said, “Today India’s spiritual and cultural glory is being restored. Today New India proudly reconciles its ancient identity with its modern aspirations. is living.”

PM Modi on Saturday inaugurated the redeveloped Kalika Mata temple atop Pavagadh hill in Panchmahal district. He hoisted the flag of the temple after offering prayers in the temple. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was also present along with the Prime Minister on this occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi said, “Today after centuries, the flag is once again hoisted at the top of the Pavagadh temple. This flag on the top is not only a symbol of our faith and spirituality! This flag also symbolizes it. Inspite of change in centuries and eras, faith remains eternal. Today India’s spiritual and cultural glory is being restored. Today New India is living its ancient identity with its modern aspirations and is proud of its heritage. ”

“Pavagadh has spirituality, history, nature, art and culture. Here on one side is the Shaktipeeth of Maa Mahakali and on the other side there is a heritage of Jain temple. That is, there is one in Pavagadh. The path is the center of all-religion equanimity with the historical diversity of India. Used to be.”

PM Modi said that Gujarat contributed to India’s independence and its development.

He said, “At the time of independence, we were plagued by slavery and injustice, we fought against it. India’s cultural independence was led by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as he redeveloped the Somnath temple and laid the foundation for India’s development.”

According to the Gujarat Information Department, after the ascent of Pavagadh in the fifteenth century, the spire of the temple was dilapidated for the last five centuries. The pinnacle has now been redesigned with a new look.

The foundation of a larger complex was laid first by widening the top of the Pavagadh hill, then the ancillary facilities were erected on the first and second floors of the complex. The original sanctum has been retained and the entire temple has been rebuilt. The main temple and the open area have been widened.

“In the old temple of Mataji where there was a Dargah in place of ‘Shikhar’. The Dargah has been shifted to a cordial settlement and a new ‘Shikhar’ has been constructed on which the flag pillar has been restored and The flag will be raised. Be hoisted there,” the official statement added.

Earlier on Saturday, Prime Minister Modi met his mother Heeraben Modi at her residence in Gandhinagar on her 100th birthday.

“Took my mother’s blessings today as she enters her 100th year,” she said on Twitter.
