New Honda Mid-Size SUV Breaking Cover On June 6 – Here’s All About New Hyundai Creta Rival

Mid-size SUVs are the new blockbuster for carmakers. While most manufacturers are already enjoying success in this segment, others are looking to participate and make profits. The new name in the list is coming from Japan. Yes, Honda has been testing its new mid-size SUV in India for a long time now. The company released the first teaser in January this year and confirmed that the new SUV will go on sale by summer this year. As per the recent reports, it has been confirmed that it will be called the Honda Elevate. The global unveiling will happen in India on June 6, followed by the launch first in our land, then in international markets.

2023 Honda Elevate mid-size SUV: Design

In the new images, it is visible that the road presence of the Honda SUV is noticeable. Though the design highlights are neatly tucked under the camouflage, yet its stance is bold. The bonnet is high-set and flat-ish. Also, the font face is upright and it is expected to get a large radiator grille with chunky slats on top. With slim headlamps on either side, the LED DRLs will sport a slim, moustache-like approach. In addition, the lower air dam will be raised from the skid plate.


Around the edges, Honda’s Creta rival offering will feature dual-tone alloy wheels, which are likely to be 17-inch. The glass area will be larger with a quarter glass. Also, the roof rails will add to the butchness. The tail section of the SUV will get wraparound tail lamps and the registration plate will be placed on the boot lid. The bumper is likely to get a dual-tone finish along with a silver skid plate. Also black cladding will run across its length and width.

2023 Honda Elevate mid-size SUV: Price and specifications

Under the bonnet, the powertrain will be borrowed from the City facelift. The 1.5L NA petrol will be used in its RDE-spec avatar. It will also be compatible with the E20. It is being said that the company is also preparing to offer a strong-hybrid setup on the Elevate. If this happens, then the Honda Elevate could join the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The prices could very well start from around Rs 11 lakh and go up to Rs 19 lakh for the top-spec hybrid variant.

Like other Hondas, a modern yet practical layout has been projected for the dashboard in this Honda too. The feature list could include a large touchscreen infotainment unit, digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, automatic climate control, up to 6 airbags and Honda Sensing safety suite.
