New barrage of rockets fired from Gaza on Friday morning

Rocket sirens were heard twice at Sridot and Ibim in the early hours of Friday morning. He was also heard once in Karmial and Native Haasar.

Just before 2 a.m. Friday, sirens sounded in the towns of Nirim, Meflsim and Nir Aam near the Gaza Strip.

Hebrew-language media reported that at least nine rockets were fired from Gaza in a rocket barrage Thursday night-Friday morning.

A spokesman for the city of Sderot issued a statement Friday morning addressing the rocket fire:

“In the past half hour, two rocket sirens were heard in the city of Sderot after the alert [rockets being] Firing in the city. We now know of no physical injuries as a result of the rocket fire, but one person was slightly injured on his way to shelter. So far, there is no damage to property.”

A barrage of 34 rockets fired from Lebanon at Israel on Thursday resulted in minor injuries to three Israelis and damaged several buildings.

Of the 34 rockets, 25 were intercepted in the air, while five landed in Israeli territory. The location of the four rockets is still under investigation.
