New Delhi: Diwali, the festival of light, is celebrated with full gusto and gaiety across the country. People celebrate this special occasion by lighting diyas and lighting firecrackers. However, due to the prevailing environmental issues, a section of the society avoids bursting crackers for better air quality.
Many celebrities from the film industry are also against the burning of crackers and urge their fans to take care of the environment. Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia is also against bursting of crackers as she urged people to ‘stop burning crackers’ in her recent tweet. He further wrote in his post that this is not only causing ‘damage to the environment’ but children are also being harmed.
The ‘Sanak’ actress tweeted, “Please stop bursting crackers, crackers.. it is harming the environment, it is harming us, it is hurting our kids… please”.
While Neha Dhupia tweeted for the betterment of the environment, a section of people could not take it in a positive way and started trolling the actress. Here’s a look at some of the tweets from users:
The ‘A Thursday’ actress shared a few pictures from her Diwali celebrations with her husband Angad Bedi on her Instagram. Sharing the post, he wrote, ‘#happydiwali from our side to you…love and light shine and shine! ……. (#notetoself…the best time to take pictures is after the kids are put to bed)”.
Neha Dhupia welcomed her second child, a baby boy, on October 3, 2021. She and her husband Angad Bedi are already parents to a daughter named Mehr Dhupia Bedi.
Speaking on the work front, Neha Dhupia will next be seen in Yami Gautam’s ‘A Thursday’.
