Netflix has launched a new website where the company will share metrics of its most-watched shows every week. Netflix previously said it would rank top viewed titles based on total number of hours watched, away from its two-minute viewing time metric. This was stated by the company during an earnings call in October. The new weekly Top 10 Hub (https://top10.netflix.com/) will be updated every Tuesday with a list of Netflix’s top movies and series across multiple categories.

Each list will track the success of Netflix content from Monday to Sunday before being published on Tuesday. According to Netflix, the list will count a series’ seasons as separate titles, but repeated watches within a season will count in its overall watch hours. For example, if you repeatedly watch a scene in an episode, it will add up to the total hours watched for that season. Netflix will rank the top movies and TV series in the following categories – Films (English), Films (Non-English), TV (English), and TV (Non-English).

All of the content in Netflix’s app is eligible to appear on these lists. This includes both Netflix original content and licensed shows and movies. The company will also reveal its most popular shows and movies of all time for the above categories.

Netflix said its figures “reached 10,000 for any fluctuations in Internet connectivity around the world.” Netflix told its investors last month that “engagement measured by hours is a slightly better indicator of the overall success of our titles. and member satisfaction.”
