Four Indian nationals were killed and another seriously injured when their car fell into a gorge in Nepal’s Bagmati province on Tuesday.

According to reports, the accident took place late Tuesday night when the Bihar registration car carrying five Indian nationals fell into a ravine about 500 meters off the road in Sindhuli district of Bagmati province.

All four killed were male. Kathmandu-based newspapers quoted District Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Silwal as saying that three people died on the spot.

The SP said that an injured passenger who was taken to Sindhuli Hospital died during treatment.

Another seriously injured person was also taken to Dhulikhel Hospital for further treatment.

Due to the difficult geographical area, the dead bodies could not be removed from the accident site.

Speaking to PTI, Station House Officer (SHO) of Kalyanpur police station in Samastipur district, Gautam Kumar said, “One of the deceased has been identified as Mrityunjay Kumar Singh, a resident of Phulhara village under Kalyanpur police station.” Was a resident. We are in touch with his family members and competent authority for further information.”

Despite repeated attempts, police in Samastipur and Patna have not been able to confirm the identity of other Indians who died or were injured, although reports from Nepal indicate that other victims were also residents of Samastipur.
