We are telling 5 graphics and stories in turn from the five seats. Let’s see…

Seat 1. Rasra Assembly: Yogi went to Ballia, yet could not win this seat

On 26 February, CM Yogi Adityanath held a public meeting in the Ballia Nagar Vidhan Sabha. Along with Rasra, he had appealed to win the remaining seats for BJP candidates. But it didn’t make much difference.

From Rasra seat, BSP candidate Umashankar Singh is the only MLA to win from BSP. He defeated Mahendra Chauhan of SBSP by getting total 87887 votes. Mahendra got 81,304 votes. BJP candidate Babban, who came third, got 24,235 votes.

Seat 2. Farenda Assembly: Lotus, which has been blooming continuously since 2007, withered in 2022

In the year 2007, Bajrang Bahadur Singh defeated Virendra Chaudhary of BSP here. From then till 2017 neither the winning party nor the candidate changed in this seat. But in 2022, Virendra contested from Congress and defeated Bajrang Bahadur Singh by only 1087 votes in a close contest.

Virendra got 84755 votes. While Bajrang Bahadur Singh of BJP got 83,668 votes. SP’s Shankhlal Manjhi got 16457 votes. BSP’s Ishu Chaurasia got 21,665 votes. Virendra is the only male candidate of Congress who has got victory in this election.

Seat 3. Ramupar Khas Assembly: BJP did not come here for 41 years

Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya of Jansatta Dal won from Kunda for the seventh time. Raja Bhaiya defeated SP candidate Gulshan Yadav. In the 2017 election, Raja Bhaiya defeated Janki Sharan of the BJP. Till now Raja Bhaiya was winning unilaterally. This time Gulshan Yadav of SP gave him a tough fight.
