Neetu Kapoor reveals why Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt’s marriage was kept a secret: ‘Ranbir doesn’t like…’

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot on April 14 in an intimate wedding ceremony at their Vastu home in Bandra, Mumbai. Since then pictures of their fairytale wedding are trending on social media. On Friday, Neetu Kapoor shared a stunning family picture with the newlyweds, featuring the Kapoor and Bhatt family. In the picture, Neetu was seen in a frame with Soni Razdan, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Bharat Sahni, Mahesh Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, Alia and Ranbir.

Just before the wedding, many speculations were being made about the date and venue. Both the families were silent and there was hardly any information available. In an exclusive interview with News18.com, Neetu revealed that the reason behind the secrecy was that her son Ranbir liked to keep a secret around him, “I believe a celebrity should be completely And that’s one reason why Ranbir doesn’t like being on social media. He does not like to make dancing videos on social media and attract people. Viewers can watch them in theaters and give their views. He believes that there should be a mystery surrounding an actor. Also, he likes to keep certain things private and one of them is his personal life and we all should respect that,” she says, adding that when she married Rishi Kapoor it was an intimate affair as well, “Back in our days there was a lot of mystery because there was no paparazzi and social media which I think was a good thing. Today a celebrity gets obsessed with everything and that’s because all the mystery and aura goes away. Me Looks like the longer you cover it, the better.”

On the work front, the veteran actor will soon be seen as a judge in Dance Deewane Juniors, which will premiere next week on Colors TV. Talking about the show she says, “I love kids. They are my weakness. Just to see them perform and interact with these innocent souls, I am really enjoying every moment. Today’s kids are very talented and it’s hard to judge. Also, I’m not really judging them. My advice to all the kids performing in the show is to enjoy it and don’t take any kind of pressure. Commenting from heart. We have Nora (Fatehi) and Marzi (Pestanji) to decide on the technical front.”

Neetu says that she also enjoys moving her legs while shooting for the show, “I am not a great dancer. I only know how to do Thumka and classical and Bhagwan Dada style dances. But, I’ve always loved dancing, and I believe that when you do something you love. There are many new forms of dance and I am learning a lot from them.”
