NEET UG 2023: Once the provisional answer key is available, aspiring MBBS students will be able to access it by logging onto the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.

It is expected that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the provisional answer keys for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) exam 2023. Once the provisional answer key is available, MBBS aspirants will be able to access it by logging on to the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.

This year NTA has changed its tie-breaking rule for NEET. In the latest update, the agency has done away with the use of age and NEET UG application numbers as determining factors. Under the revised policy, if two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the entrance test, the authority will follow a new procedure for tie-breaking.

NEET UG 2023: Tie-breaking policy

1) First preference will be given to the candidates having higher marks/percentile marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology).

2) If the tie persists, candidates with higher marks/percentile score in Chemistry will be given next preference.

3) Thereafter, candidates having higher marks/percentage in Physics will be given preference.

4) If the tie still remains unresolved, the candidate with lower proportion of attempted wrong answers and higher proportion of attempted correct answers in all the subjects will be given preference.

5) Preference will be given to candidates having low ratio of attempted wrong answers and high ratio of attempted correct answers especially in Biology (Botany and Zoology).

6) If the tie remains unresolved, the candidate with lower proportion of attempting wrong answers and higher proportion of attempting correct answers in Chemistry will secure the rank.

7) Finally, candidates with lower proportion of attempting wrong answers and higher proportion of attempting correct answers in Physics will be considered.

NEET UG was conducted on 7th May. Candidates who appeared for NEET UG 2023 will have the option to raise objections regarding the answer key. They can do so on the official website by using their application number and password. By paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 for each challenged question, applicants will have a chance to submit their objections on OMR grading.
