The Supreme Court on Monday declined to entertain petitions seeking postponement of NEET-PG 2023, which is scheduled for March 5.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2023 admit card is out. NBE released the admit card while NEET PG 2023 candidates were waiting for the Supreme Court’s decision. The Supreme Court on Monday declined to entertain petitions seeking postponement of NEET-PG 2023, which is scheduled for March 5.

Medical aspirants are demanding postponement of NEET PG 2023 exam dates citing less time to prepare for the exam. However, the government has already ruled out delaying the exam. The candidates protested against the decision of the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to issue admit cards.

A Twitter user expressed his disagreement on the issue of admit cards saying, “@NMC_IND Issuance of admit cards by @MoHFW_INDIA shows how in a hurry they are to conduct mismanaged PG exams, in fact they didn’t even bother to wait for the judiciary Do not pick up to issue the decision. Height of arrogance!! @Indian__doctor @indiacom @FAIMA_INDIA_(sic)”

Another aspirant wrote on Twitter that the government knew they were going to win in court. “GIVE YOUR BEST PEOPLE!!!! GOOD LUCK!!” he tweeted.

Others are of the opinion that the haste in the decision was for private colleges. While some believe that the National Medical Council should have maintained some decency by not releasing the admit card while the matter is under consideration.

A certain Twitter user wrote, “Demanding justice for the healers’ ailments!”

Earlier this month, the Telangana High Court had asked the Medical Council to reconsider the decision but declined to pass orders on the dates of the exams.

Later, the students approached the Supreme Court for relief, but the matter was not immediately heard. The apex court refused to pass any order on postponing the dates and said that it may be held as per the pre-announced schedule.
