Kolkata. Neeraj Kumar took over as the Chief Public Relations Officer of South Eastern Railway on Wednesday, 30 June. Earlier, Mr. Kumar was the Senior Divisional Operations Manager cum Chief Public Relations Officer in Ranchi Railway Division. Neeraj Kumar replaces Sanjay Ghosh who held the charge of CPRO/SER for more than six and a half years.
Presently they have been transferred to the parent department. Neeraj Kumar is a 2007 batch Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer. He has done B Tech from IIT Warangal. After that he joined the railway service. He has vast experience in railway operations and has held various important positions in Indian Railways.
Earlier, Mr. Kumar has also worked as Area Manager, Haldia, Divisional Operational Manager/Chakradharpur and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Ranchi. Shri Kumar has participated in various training programs at National and International level. He has a keen interest in sports and socio-cultural activities.
