Veteran actress Neena Gupta recently faced severe criticism from a section of netizens over her outfit choice during her recent outing. The actress was heavily trolled on social media for wearing shorts during her visit to veteran lyricist Gulzar’s house in Mumbai.
Unaware of this, the actress gifted her the recently launched book ‘Sach Kahoon To’ at Gulzar’s residence.
Donning a floral co-ordin shorts teamed with white shoes and sunglasses, Neena shared the video of the same on her Instagram account, prompting netizens to comment on her outfit.
And now in an interview with Etimes, Neena Gupta has opened up about being trolled for her outfit choices. The actress gave a befitting reply and asked if she should harass even 2 to 4 people who criticize her look. He said, “I fail to understand that when someone writes that I have been trolled for this. It’s plain bullshit. What is the definition of ‘trolling’? Doesn’t this mean that many people are criticizing you? Look at how much praise I have received. Should I really even worry about just 2 or 4 people?” When asked if she would like to say anything to her critics, Gupta said, “Why? Why should I give any importance to 2 to 4 people when they are just a small percentage as opposed to the people who have loved me for it?”
One social media user while criticizing the actress, wrote, ‘Gulzar sahab k pass aap gaye the wo time aapko saadi pehen kr jana chahiye tha…sorry….kyuki Gulzar sahab Gulzar sahab ha’, while another took a dig at ‘western culture’. ‘Age ke hisab se chalo madam,’ wrote another user. However, many netizens even appreciated her choice, actor Anil Kapoor wrote, ‘Fab Neena…’.
