New Delhi, Aug 19: North Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh on Thursday flagged off an ambulance service for stray animals. Singh said that special arrangements have been made for the convenience of stray animals in these vehicles such as hydraulic system has been installed in the vehicle for the convenience of disembarking and boarding the animals. Sweet melodies will be played inside so that the animals do not get distracted.
Singh said that these vehicles have been specially made for stray animals. The Animal Ambulance Service was launched at the Civic Center, Headquarters of NDMC.
NDMC standing committee chairman Jogi Ram Jain said that an animal ambulance has been arranged for each of the six areas of the civic body.
