Nagpur: NCP neta Jwala Dhote on Monday lodged a police complaint at Sadar seeking an offence be registered against guardian minister Nitin Raut, his son Kunal and seven others for “roaming and giving shelter” to MCOCA accused absconder Abhishek Singh for 15 months.
At a press conference, Dhote accused Kunal of facilitating meetings of Singh with Congress neta Rahul Gandhi, MPCC president Nana Patole among others. “They also toured together to different parts of the country,” she said, adding that Congress should take action against Nitin and Kunal as he is a youth leader of the party.
Dhote also wanted police to “immediately arrest Singh and everyone involved in harboring him”.
On February 19, when TOI first reported the issue, Kunal had said the Abhishek who traveled with him was a different person and not the one who is absconding.
