NC chief Farooq Abdullah-led all-party delegation from J&K to meet Opposition leaders, ECI in Delhi today

Jammu and Kashmir: An all-party delegation of leaders from Jammu and Kashmir is scheduled to meet opposition leaders in New Delhi on Thursday (March 16). According to the information, the 13-member delegation will be led by National Conference (NC) President Dr. Farooq Abdullah.

Besides this, the delegation will also meet the Election Commission of India regarding the conduct of elections in the Union Territory. According to sources, the meeting is likely to be held at the Constitutional Club of India in the national capital at around 1 pm.

The 13-member delegation includes MP NC Hassnain Masoodi, Ratan Lal Gupta (NC), Ravinder Sharma (Congress), Harashdev Singh (Panthers Party), Muzafar Shah (ANC), Amrik Singh Reem (PDP), Master Hari Singh (CPIM). , Gulchain Singh (Dogra Saba), Manesh Sanaini (Shiva Sena), Taranjit Singh Tony (AAP), and Khajuria.

Central government is troubling the people of Jammu and Kashmir: Mehbooba Mufti

Earlier on February 16, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti criticized the central government and said that the ruling government at the center was troubling the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He further said that the central government has only made false promises. Talking about the Jammu and Kashmir demolition drive, he said, for the first time, he has seen a government which is converting the homes of the poor into schools, hospitals and parks.

J&K leaders call for holding elections in the union territory

Let us tell you that ever since the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories, leaders of regional parties and Congress have been demanding elections to “restore democracy” in the valley. Earlier, the BJP had linked the restoration of the state to voter list revision and delimitation after the abrogation of Article 370.
