About a year later when the rumors broke Shah Rukh KhanAs the collaboration with Southern acclaimed filmmaker Atlee swelled, development seems to have begun. The makers are now taking the project forward in the pre-production stage and are planning some significant developments regarding Atlee’s first Hindi directorial.
According to a report in TOI, Atlee is planning to star in a yet-to-be-named film starring popular south actress Nayanthara opposite King Khan. If things go right, this will be the actress’ third collaboration with the director. He worked with Atlee in his first directorial venture Raja Rani and last directed Bigil. The actress was last seen in the Tamil comedy Mukuthi Amman, in which she played the role of a goddess. The actress will next be seen in the Tamil thriller Natrikan which is a remake of the Korean thriller, Blind.
As per the buzz about the film, it is being speculated that the film will be a Hindi remake of Atlee’s Tamil film Mersal. South cinema superstar Vijay played a triple role in this film. However, an official announcement regarding their collaboration is yet to be confirmed. Speculations are rife that the film is likely to go on floors by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh is currently shooting for Siddharth Anand’s film Pathan. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles. The actor plays a detective in this action-thriller and will be seen performing incredible stunts in the mega-flick. Apart from this, Shah Rukh also has Rajkumar Hirani’s social comedy set on the background of immigration. Taapsee Pannu will be sharing screen space with King Khan in this upcoming film. After his last film Zero in 2018, the actor will be back in action with his back-to-back projects.
