Nawazuddin Siddiqui is in discussion about the dispute with his wife Aaliya.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s brother Shamas talks about his current equation with the actor and says that he is a difficult person.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been making headlines lately but for all the wrong reasons. Following his wife Aaliya Siddiqui’s allegations against him, his brother recently spoke about the actor in an interview. Talking about Alia, Nawaz’s brother Shamas said that she has taken a lot. They used to be close friends even before marrying Nawaz. He also talked about why he stopped working with his brother.
Shamas told ETimes, “I had done a lot of TV and also directed one or two shows. Nawaz then asked me to join him. He said that he wants people who are his own. In 2019, my film ‘Bole Chudiyan’ came for release. To be honest, I did not want to cast Nawaz in the film. I felt that our personal equation might be out of whack or both of us would not be able to excel in each other’s presence. The producer however insisted that I cast Nawaz.”
He further added, “When the film required editing and patchwork, Nawaz suddenly told the producer that he would not work until he got all the dues related to the film. Why is he doing this with the film and why is he not supporting me? The film got stalled. I had given him a lot. I didn’t even have a personal life till I was 46. We had a rift.
He also claimed that the actor told his family that he should not meet Shama’s daughter. “Not only did they not listen to him, but they didn’t even call me,” he said. The brothers confirmed this with me, saying they were instructed not to wish or even congratulate me. But he helped me when there was a dispute over one of my properties and he bought the disputed property. In between, we lost touch, stayed with each other for 7-8 months and met only when we went to our village.”
Shamas was also asked about his mother calling Nawaz and Aaliya’s second child illegitimate, to which he replied that his mother might have said so out of anger. Talking about Nawaz, he said that he has not abandoned his son.
Describing Nawaz as a person, Shamas said, ‘I don’t think any actor is better than him. He takes care of us but he has not established any brother’s career. He buys properties for us, but his image is not the same. He is a difficult person. He leaves people – Alia and I are two examples.”
