No one does character roles better than Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has impressed time and again by playing key figures in Manto and Thackeray. Now the Gangs Of Wasseypur actor is all set to take his acting skills a notch higher with his next film Jogira Sara Ra. While fans are excited to see their favorite star after a long time, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who rose to prominence with Anurag Kashyap’s directorial Gangs Of Wasseypur, gave an interesting insight about one of the memorable scenes from the film. .

The scene in which he is sitting next to Huma Qureshi and touches her for a while, only Huma Qureshi has an angry expression and the dialogue ‘Should have taken permission na?’ The film became particularly popular upon its release. Reminiscing how it was inspired by a real-life incident, Nawazuddin shared with Mashable India, “So, one day, Anurag remembered a story I had narrated during the workshops. So, he said, ‘Let’s do it…’ He asked me to sit near a lake, so I sat there and he also made Huma Qureshi sit there and we did the whole scene in one take.’

He said, “I had a girlfriend, I asked her if we could go to the park, looked around and it was pretty empty, so I put my hand on hers. She asked me, ‘Yeh kya hai (this What is)?’ I said, ‘Nothing, haath hai’. She said it was illegal. As soon as she used the word ‘illegal’, I could think of police and court cases, and I felt I had made a huge mistake Is.

The actor further reminisced, “Then I asked him, ‘Illegal means?’ So, he said, ‘If you wanted to put your hand on mine, you should have taken permission’, and I said to him ‘That’s right’, and he said, ‘Tomorrow, you feel like You can even touch So, I told him that is not what I had in mind. Then, he explained to me how, when you go to someone’s house, you knock on their door, you don’t just barge in.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s next cinematic venture is director Kushan Nandy’s romantic comedy Jogira Sara Ra Ra. Nawazuddin has been cast opposite Neha Sharma in the film which is slated to release on May 26. Collaboratively produced by Kiron Shroff and Naeem Siddiqui under the banner of AA Films, the trailer and songs of the film are already a hit among movie buffs.
