The firepower of the Indian Navy is going to increase this month. Destroyer INS Visakhapatnam and Kalvari-class INS Vela will join the Indian Navy in November. Home Minister Rajnath Singh will hand over INS Visakhapatnam to the Navy on 21 November. Exactly 4 days later, on November 25, INS Vela will be commissioned (inducted) into the Navy in the presence of Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh.

INS Vela is the fourth submarine built under Project-75. Similarly, in December, Sandhyak will also be inducted into the Navy. The sandyak is being constructed under the project of survey ship.

INS Visakhapatnam is the biggest destroyer built in India
Vice Chief of the Navy, Vice Admiral Satish N Ghormade said that indigenous steel has been used in the production of INS Visakhapatnam. It is the largest destroyer submarine built in India. Its length is 163 meters and its displacement is more than 7400 tons. He said that warships are very important in war at sea.

China is steadily increasing its military capability in the South China Sea. Sometimes China sends its submarine near Taiwan and sometimes threatens the fishermen of South Korea and Japan in the sea.
Pakistan is also trying to make its navy strong.

Turkey has announced to build the STM-500 submarine from next year. Though it will be smaller than a conventional submarine, it can be deployed for border security. There is a possibility that Pakistan can buy it from Turkey.
