Maa Kushmanda is the fourth manifestation of Goddess Durga and is worshiped on the fourth day of the nine-day Hindu festival Sharad Navratri. For these nine days, devotees observe a fast, offer bhog and chant mantras to please the various forms of Goddess Durga.
