NAVI MUMBAI: The Nerul police arrested a 30-year-old man, an accused in cheating and forgery case registered in 2018, by obtaining a non-bailable arrest warrant against him from Vashi JMFC court on August 2.
Since the accused after obtaining bail four years ago had repeatedly skipped the court proceedings against him, the magistrate has remanded him to jail custody at Taloja prison.
The accused had cheated several unemployed persons known to him by duping them of Rs 13 lakh collectively after assuring them job in Indian Railways and gave them forged job offer letter of Railway Recruitment Board.
The police informed that the accused Akshay Laddu, was arrested from his grandmother’s house in Sector 20, Nerul.
