national youth day 2023Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (January 12) remembered Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary and said that his pan-India journey is a testimony to the unity of India’s consciousness and spirit over the centuries. The Prime Minister said that this spirit is an immortal example of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.

“Swami Vivekananda had a unique relationship with Karnataka. He visited Karnataka and the region several times. The Maharaja of Mysore also supported Swamiji for his foreign travels. His pan-India tours are also a testimony to the fact that Our consciousness was one for centuries. Our souls were. One as a nation. This is an immortal example of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. The country is taking this spirit with new resolutions in Amrit Kaal,” PM Modi said on the 26th said after inaugurating the National Youth Festival 2023.

He said that his National Youth Day this year is very special as the country is celebrating the nectar of independence. We have to move the country forward by emphasizing and understanding our duties in the Amrit Kaal.

He said, “Youth power is the driving force of India’s journey. The next 25 years are crucial for nation building. The dreams of youth power determine the direction of India. Earlier today, PM Modi inaugurated the 26th National Youth Festival in Hubli, Karnataka on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The Prime Minister was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival in the city. He roadshowed people on the streets, shook their hands and showered flowers on his cavalcade.

The 26th National Youth Festival is being organized by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in association with the Government of Karnataka from January 12 to 16 at Hubli-Dharwad, Karnataka.
