Narendra Kumar, a resident of village Mingni Kheda in Hisar district of Haryana, has hoisted the tricolor in the very first attempt on Mount Lhotse, the world’s fourth highest peak. Narendra is the first person from Haryana to conquer this peak of 8 thousand 516 meters. On 16 May, he illuminated the name of the state by hoisting the tricolor on the peak in -40° degree temperature. Earlier, Narendra Kumar had made a world record by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro which is the highest peak in Africa twice in 5 days.

Mount Lhotse is said to be one of the 4 highest peaks in the world. It is very difficult to climb it, but it is also technical. Climbing it is considered more difficult than Mount Everest. Narendra has become the first person from Haryana to scale this fourth highest peak.

Climbing started on 12th May

It is told that Narendra Kumar of Hisar started his campaign from Kathmandu Nepal on 12 April. After that he came to Everest Base Camp. After staying there for a few days, he prepared his body to climb the mountain and also waited for the weather to clear. After this, he left Everest Base Camp on 12th May and reached Camp-2 on 13th May. Then on 14th May, Camp-3 and 15th May reached Camp-4.

Was alone from Haryana

Narendra Kumar finished his journey by reaching the summit of Mount Lhotse at 5:00 am on May 16 and hoisted the country’s pride tricolor there. He told that the temperature on Mount Lhotse was -40°C. He was the only one from Haryana in this campaign. On the way, I had to struggle a lot due to bad weather. Set a new record by summiting on May 16 at 5:00 am.

Advanced mountaineering course from Himalayan Mountain and Institute Darjeeling. Influenced by Bachendri Pal, he started mountaineering. Let us tell you that Bachendri Pal was the first woman of India, who had scaled Mount Everest.
