Narendra Modi’s ministers Vaishnav and Rane in action mode from day one

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has instructed his ministers to go to work from day one. Following his order, Ashwini Vaishnav, a retired bureaucrat turned Rajya Sabha MP, came to office at 9 am to take charge of his duties on the first day. In a spirited mood, the minister claimed that he wants to lead the Indian Railways by example, and is therefore punctual and expects the Railways to follow suit.

Within hours of taking charge, Vaishnav established a strict schedule for the railway employees. He ordered the officers and employees of the Ministry of Railways to work in two different shifts and issued an order on Thursday (July 8, 2021), stating that the morning shift would start at 7:00 and 16:00. While the evening shift will work from 15:00 to midnight.

A source told News18.com that Vaishnav interacted with his team on the first day, specifically two MoSs, Darshan Ben Jardosh and Rao Saheb Danve, and told all his employees that he wanted to dismantle the hierarchy of the ministry. And hope that all the senior and junior members of his team will work collectively to make Indian Railways more efficient.

He expressed a desire to use all the resources at his disposal. He said that unlike others, he would not use an external agency for public relations and other essential tasks, but would rely on internal resources.

Senior politician and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Narayan Rane also started his first day in the MSME ministry on a similar note. On taking charge on the first day, he was welcomed with a bouquet. However, the minister immediately got to work after his reception. He made it clear that he wants full presence in his office and wants his employees to be on top. He asked his team a series of questions, such as ‘How many jobs does this sector offer?’, ‘What is our GDP contribution?’ And wanted all the necessary files to update him about the current status.

On Thursday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged his Council of Ministers to work on a mission mode and efficiently collaborate with their junior colleagues and colleagues to achieve better results. He also asked them to concentrate on work alone and advised them not to leave the capital before Independence Day unless absolutely necessary. He further urged them to refrain from celebrating and organizing public functions to mark his entry into the cabinet.
