Telugu actor Nani is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Dussehra. Helmed by Srikanth Odella, the action entertainer is set against the backdrop of the Singareni coal mines of Godavarikhani, located in Peddapalli district of Telangana. Nani has put her best foot forward for the yet to be released film, and leaves no stone unturned to deliver a power-packed performance. The 39-year-old is currently on a promotional spree for Dussehra.
During one of his promotional outings, Nani talked about an accident that happened during the shooting of the film. Recalling the nightmarish experience, the actor revealed that the incident still gives him “sleepless nights”.
During the filming of a scene, Nani suffered a minor injury after a coal truck fell off a pile of coal boulders. Describing the horrific accident, the Telugu star revealed, “There is a scene where I had to jump off a dumper truck loaded with coal and the whole thing fell on me. I ate a lot of dust until they brought me out of coal. I had sleepless nights for almost 2 months because of that incident.”
Earlier in an interview with ETimes, Nani had shared his experience of shooting in the dusty coal mines. He said, “We have seen coal mines in films before. But many of us don’t know what it’s like to stand there. Even a five-day shoot would affect our team for almost a month. Many fell ill due to the dust particles, and some could not stand the heat, especially during summers.”
According to India Today, Nani gave a sneak peek into the plot of Dussehra, revealing that the Srikanth Odella-directed film “revolves” around his co-star, actress Keerthy Suresh. “When Srikanth and I discussed the film, we felt that someone like Keerthy Suresh should play Vanilla. The entire film revolves around him. We need someone who can exude innocence. There is no better option than Kirti,” explained the Jersey actor.
Nani’s aggressive and aggressive avatar in Dussehra is already creating waves among ardent fans. He will be seen in a completely new avatar in the film. Produced by Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas, Dussehra’s music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Apart from Nani and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles, the upcoming film also features an ensemble cast including Shine Tom Chacko, Samuthirakani, Zarina Wahab and Sai Kumar. Dussehra is all set to hit the big screens on March 30.
