Muslim youth stabbed shopkeeper with a knife: Incident in Palwal; Vikas had no enmity with the attackers, admitted to ICU

After the incident with Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, Vikas Bharadwaj (Vicky), who was going by car in Palwal, Haryana, was attacked with a knife by Anjum, a youth of the Muslim community, along with his associates. Vicky was admitted to a hospital in Faridabad in a critical condition, from where he has been kept in the ICU of a private hospital in Palwal after the operation. On the complaint of the youth’s father, a case has been registered against six including youth Anjum under various sections including attempt to murder. Police have not been able to arrest any of the accused. It has come to the fore that there was no enmity, animosity between Vikas and Anjum earlier. There is anger in the Hindu community after the incident.

Palwal camp station in-charge Surendra Singh said that Shivram, a resident of Panchvati Colony, said in a complaint to the police that his 26-year-old son Vikas Bharadwaj runs a mobile shop at Agra Chowk. Vikas had gone to Delhi in his car on June 28 to get the goods of the shop. On his return, he found his friends Amit, Kunal and Aman near Palwal bus stand. To leave them, he left for the camp.

People of other community stopped

It is alleged that on the way when he reached near Golaya Public School on New Colony Road at around 12.15 pm, a car was already parked there. In which Anjum, resident of Sheikhpura Mohalla and 5-6 other youths were sitting. These people from the Muslim community stopped his car and started assaulting him without any reason.

Anjum stabs her several times on her chest and waist with a knife in her hand. He got injured and fell on the ground. When people gathered there after hearing the noise of the quarrel, the accused fled in the car, threatening to kill him. When Vikas Bharadwaj’s friends were asked the reason for the quarrel, they told that they never had any argument with the said youths, only in the night and they attacked and injured Vikas. He had no enmity with Anjum.

Vikas is just admitted in ICU

The injured Vikas was admitted to the civil hospital in Palwal at night itself. At night his father Shivram and other relatives reached the hospital. Seeing the critical condition of the development from the District Civil Hospital, the doctors referred him to the Higher Center. They took him to a private hospital in Faridabad. There the doctors operated on Vikas. Now she is under treatment in the ICU of a private hospital in Palwal. Not qualified to make a statement yet.
