Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi, accused of attacking Gorakhnath temple, is an active member of ISIS. He had vowed to destroy the country by joining this notorious terrorist organization. In the interrogation of ATS, Mortaza himself has confessed to this. This was disclosed by ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar on Saturday.
He said that after interrogating Mortaza, the data analysis of the electronic device recovered at his instance was done. In this, Mortaza’s social media accounts such as Gmail, Twitter, Facebook were also analyzed. Mortaza’s bank accounts, financial transactions of e-wallets were also scanned. The in-depth analysis and technical analysis of ATS so far has revealed shocking information about Mortaza.
ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that after interrogating Murtaza, the data analysis of the electronic device recovered at his instance was done.
Murtaza was in touch with Mehndi Masroor Biswas
Prashant Kumar told that Murtaza was in touch with ISIS through Facebook, Twitter and Telegram. ISIS Propaganda Activist Mehndi Masroor, arrested by Bengaluru Police in 2014, was also in touch with Biswas through his social media account. He was deeply influenced by Jihadi literature and audio-videos related to terrorist organizations.

ADG said that Murtaza had taken bayat (oath) of Ansar-ul-Tauheed (terrorist organization) in 2013 on social media platform. In 2014, Ansar ul Tawhid merged with ISIS. After this he again took bayat (oath) of the ISIS organization in 2020. He had sent about eight and a half lakh rupees through his bank accounts to support terrorist activities through the supporters of ISIS organization in Europe and America.
Murtaza had attacked the policemen guarding the Gorakhnath temple from Banke. Three jawans were injured in the attack.

Police had recovered 6 airguns from Murtaza’s house. ADG Prashant Kumar says that Murtaza used to watch and read articles, videos on the Internet related to modern weapons (AK 47, M4 carbine, missile technology). Guerrilla attack on the temple was done under the motive
According to the ADG, Murtaza had attacked the policemen posted in the security of the southern gate of the temple in a guerrilla manner from Banke under the terrorist ideology of ISIS. He had tried to snatch the rifle of the security personnel posted in security. His original plan was to snatch weapons from the security personnel and create a big incident.
