A case of murder of a 10-year-old child Pranay has come to light in Saidpur area of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. The police have arrested four people in this case. Among the arrested accused are an adult Pawan Kumar and 3 minors. Kathua SSP RC Kotwali told that the killers wanted to throw the child’s body in a sack and throw it in the sugarcane field last Tuesday night, but before that the police recovered the body and sent it for postmortem.
After the postmortem, the body was handed over to the family for last rites. According to the SSP, Pawan is the main accused in the incident. According to the police, the accused had closed the child’s mouth with sellotape and tied his hands and feet before the murder, so that he could not scream.
Mutual enmity behind the murder
The family members have told a case of mutual enmity behind the murder. According to the police, the accused has confessed to mutual enmity. Police said that on Tuesday evening, Pranay had gone from home to the farm to tie the cow, after which he went missing.

The family members lodged a case with the police regarding the missing of the child. Till late night, the villagers and the police team were busy in search of Pranay. In this case, the police is also interrogating the father of the child, his brother and a policeman.
The accused kept misleading the police
Accused Pawan kept on misleading the police during interrogation. Later, after the strictness of the police, he confessed his crime. Police said that Pawan was present with the villagers and the police. However, the police are still trying to get to the bottom of the matter. For this the matter is being investigated.
