Munna Bhai MBBS starring Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt is one of the most iconic movies of Bollywood. While fans were waiting for its third installment, Munna Bhai 3 might not happen. In a recent interview, Arshad Warsi dropped a big hint which might leave fans upset.
In an interview with India Today, the actor said that the most awaited film may not happen. “Can’t make Munna Bhai. That’s the weirdest thing. We have a director who wants to make it, a producer who wants to make it, an audience who wants to see it, actors who want to act in it, And yet, this is not happening”, said Arshad.
He further revealed that director Rajkumar Hirani is yet to come up with a perfect script for the sequel. “The thing is, Raju is an extreme perfectionist. He has 3 scripts which are great but have some glitches. So, until he is 100-200 percent sure about the script, he will not start it. When you ask him he will always say yes, never no. He would say ‘I am doing it… once the script is fixed, I don’t like it, I don’t like it’. Once he crosses that stage, he will start”, he said.
In an old interview with Siddharth Kanan, Arshad had said that he felt that his character Circuit was bad and felt that his career would end after this character.
After two hit films Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai, fans were eagerly waiting for its sequel. While Munna Bhai hit the silver screens in 2003, Wahiin Lage Raho Munna Bhai released in 2016. The first film gave the audience two endearing characters, Munna and Circuit, and also featured Gracy Singh. The second installment of the film featured Vidya Balan in the lead role.
Meanwhile, Arshad Warsi was last seen in JioCinema’s web series Asur 2 co-starring Barun Sobti.
