Munmun Dhamecha, who got bail in the Mumbai drug bust case, was released from the Byculla Women’s Jail on Sunday. After the completion of the bond process of his release, the release was ordered in the bail box outside the Byculla jail late on Saturday evening.
He was released from jail three days after he was granted bail in the cruise drugs case arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3. The Bombay High Court had granted him bail along with the co-accused. Aryan Khan, son of actors Shah Rukh Khan and Arbaaz Merchant on Thursday.

On Friday afternoon, the HC made available its operative order in which it imposed 14 bail conditions on Aryan Khan, Merchant and Dhamecha, releasing one or two sureties of equal amount on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh each.
Dhamecha’s lawyer Ali Kashif Khan said on Sunday, “He has been released from jail after completing all legal formalities.” Now we are filing an application before the NCB seeking her permission to go to Madhya Pradesh as she hails from there.” Her co-accused Arbaaz Merchant, who is lodged in Arthur Road jail, is yet to be released. Aryan Khan, who was lodged in Arthur Road jail after his arrest in the case, returned home on Saturday.

Khan said the process in the court was completed at 7.30 pm, two hours before the jail time limit. He further added that they managed to drop the release order in the box at 8.30 pm.
The high court, in its detailed order, had asked Aryan Khan, Merchant and Dhamecha to appear at the NCB’s Mumbai office every Friday between 11 am and 2 pm to record their presence. On 2 October, the NCB raided a Goa-bound cruise ship off the Mumbai coast and claimed to have seized drugs on the ship.
