Ashadhi Ekadashi Yatra 2022: Mumbai Traffic Police has issued an advisory for commuters today in view of the Ashadhi Ekadashi Yatra, as a large number of devotees are expected to visit the Vitthal Temple in Wadala.

Traffic arrangements have been made for smooth movement of traffic towards the temple. Officials said the temporary arrangement would not cause hindrance and inconvenience to the public.

These traffic rules are effective from tomorrow (July 9) and will continue till tomorrow (July 11) at 8 am. A ‘No-Entry’ sign will be put up at the junction of Dadar TT to Tilak Road and Cuttack Road. This traffic will be diverted towards Dr BA Road (North side via Ruia Junction).

Mancherji Joshi and Jam-e-Jamshedji roads, and their junctions up to Five Garden and Tilak Road will also be ‘no-entry’ zones. Other ‘no-entry’ points are the David Barreto circle from Cuttack Road and the junction of GD Ambedkar Marg and Tilak Road (North to South).

From Sahakar Nagar Gali to Cuttack Road (East to West) towards Tilak Road Extension, Parsi Colony Road No. The junction of 13 and 14, and Lady Jehangir Road will also be a ‘no entry’ zone. It also includes the junction of Dinshaw Road and Mancherji Joshi Marg and Cuttack Road.

A major festival in Maharashtra, Ashadhi Ekadashi marks the beginning of the sacred Chaturmas period comprising Shravan, Bhadrapad, Ashwin and Kartik maas.
